Build the future of legal work in Europe.
Job description
Legal AI is only as good as the knowledge behind it, and at Lefebvre Sdu we have been building that knowledge for 200 years. Day in, day out. Law by law. Word by word. We do it so carefully that other legal AI tools run on our data and software. From our Dutch office, we are also building our own platform for Lefebvre Group, Europe's leader in legal and tax knowledge: GenIA-L, which already accounts for more than €100 million ARR across Europe. Over 75,000 professionals use it every day, and we build it to the standard their profession demands. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to make sure everything we build goes live safely and smoothly.
HOW YOU’LL MOVE US FORWARD
GenIA-L is moving ever deeper into the daily work of lawyers and tax advisers, and that calls for a platform that keeps pace. Our developers want to build fast and ship safely, without losing hours to pipelines and repository setup. That's where you come in. Our infrastructure runs on AWS, with Kubernetes on EKS, Terraform and Helm, and our CI/CD runs on GitHub Actions. In those pipelines, you make sure every release meets the ISO 27001 secure coding requirements, from SAST and security scanning to code quality checks and the OWASP Top 10. DevOps currently sits with an external team of 4 engineers. Within a year, we want that knowledge fully in-house, and you'll play a leading role in making that happen. You become the first point of contact for developers in Product & Technology, bring structure to how the team works and help shape the next steps, such as the move from Helm to ArgoCD. You'll know it's working when other teams spend noticeably less time on deployments, the infrastructure is healthy and you can see exactly what's going on. And when DevOps feels like a natural part of Product & Technology. The stack is in place and the ambition is clear. What's still missing is the team that will run it, and you'll help build it.
Job requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You're a DevOps engineer who likes to work close to developers. You build a platform others can run with on their own, you take it for granted that security is built into every pipeline and you like bringing calm and clarity to an environment that's on the move.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally AWS EKS.
You have worked extensively with AWS and Infrastructure as Code.
CI/CD and containers are a familiar part of your work.
You bring clarity to technical processes and agreements.
Experience building and developing a software product is a plus.
WHAT YOU’RE SIGNING UP FOR
You report to our Lead Backend Engineer and are the go-to sparring partner for developers in Product & Technology. You get a lot of trust, ownership and freedom, so if you see something that needs fixing, you can usually just pick it up yourself. There's also room for a healthy work-life balance. Our growth paths are still taking shape, and since we expect tracks towards lead DevOps, principal engineering and engineering management, you'll be there early.
A good base salary and a standard 36-hour working week.
A year-end bonus of 4% of your gross annual salary and variable profit sharing of up to 6% of your gross annual salary.
23 days of annual leave and a personal benefits budget of 12%: 8% holiday allowance and 4% to spend as you like, for example on extra days off.
A solid pension scheme through PGB, including additional partner insurance.
A travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometre or a public transport allowance, plus an attractive bike scheme. Adjusted arrangements apply if you live less than 10 km or more than 60 km from the office.
Hybrid working: 2 days a week at our office in The Hague, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Room to grow. In your craft, in your role, in the organisation.
