Senior Product Owner

Legal AI is only as good as the knowledge behind it. At Lefebvre Sdu, we've been building that knowledge for 200 years. Day in, day out. Law by law. Word by word. So carefully that other legal AI tools run on our data and software. From our Dutch office, we build GenIA-L for Lefebvre Group, the European leader in legal and tax knowledge: a platform that gives lawyers and tax advisors not just an answer, but one they're willing to put their name to. More than 75,000 professionals use it daily, and it now generates over €100 million in ARR across Europe. We're looking for a Senior Product Owner who decides how we live up to that standard.

HOW YOU MOVE US FORWARD

As Senior Product Owner, you're responsible for a domain within our flagship: GenIA-L. Our existing customers are moving over to the platform, and a customer who has been migrated but doesn't use it doesn't count as a result for us. You make sure our customers actually start working with it. At the same time, you safeguard what sets us apart: everything the platform produces is traceable, and we see that as a product responsibility.

• Within your domain, you help shape the vision and roadmap, and you translate that same strategy into features, user stories and requirements.

• You set the standard for how we make product decisions.

• As a sparring partner to our Lead Product Owner and (co-)mentor to the other Product Owners, you're the one who makes trade-offs explicit and helps think through the strategic product vision.

• You work closely with our development teams to deliver features, and you own the backlog.

• You gather user feedback and product data, and turn those data points into action, so the product keeps getting better.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You feel at home in an organisation in the middle of a transition. We used to be a publisher and printer through and through; today, we're increasingly becoming a software company. You also love to build, and you can think along at a strategic level on the product vision and roadmap of Lefebvre Sdu.

• At least 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in SaaS, with at least one product you took from discovery to go-live and kept developing afterwards.

• Demonstrable ownership at platform or multi-team level. You owned something other teams built on.

• Knowledge of AI, and preferably legal AI, is a plus. If you've built an AI, ML, search or data-driven product, we'd love to hear about it.

• Domain knowledge in legal, tax or professional services is a plus.

• You speak and write English at a professional level. Dutch is a strong plus, because our customers and content are Dutch.

WHAT YOU'RE SIGNING UP FOR

You report to Ben Wallis, our Lead Product Owner, and help think through the strategic choices around GenIA-L. You work in a small product team of 4 to 5 Product Owners, each with their own domain. Day to day, you work with front-end, back-end, DevOps, UX and AI engineering, each with their own lead. You also work closely with the specialists who safeguard the quality of our knowledge, and with our commercial team, who bring the platform to market. The team is small, the platform is big and the lines are short. Here, you grow mainly in scope: you start with one domain and take on a second as soon as you're deeper into AI products. And because the platform is used across Europe, your decisions travel further than the Netherlands.

• A good base salary of between €6,220 and €7,300 and a standard full-time working week of 36 hours, plus some great extras:

• A year-end bonus of 4% of your gross annual salary and a variable profit share of up to 6% of your gross annual salary.

• 23 days of holiday and a personal choice budget of 12%, of which 8% is holiday allowance and 4% is freely spendable, for example on extra days off.

• A variable bonus with a 10% target, based on individual and company results.

• A good pension scheme through PGB, including supplementary partner insurance.

• A travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometre or a public transport allowance, and an attractive bike scheme. A tailored arrangement applies for employees with a commute of under 10 km or over 60 km.

• Hybrid working: 2 days a week at the office in The Hague, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
